Anyway seeing how many people are confused with how the story is going, here we go, a bit of background using the novel to fill in the question. Arent you glad that some of us like to use the novel as a source to compare the donghua? lol

Simply put the studio cut a lot of content, I dont know why, but it makes the flow of the story rather confusing, in the novel, Shi Hao was much more ruthless as in he went and pacify the other sects and clans, like eliminating the Rain Clan, but sparing the elderly, women and children

Shi Hao was worried about Huo Ling'er and the Fire Country, so with the help of little pagoda he was able to see what was happening over there, as shown in this episode. However after the Calamity with a massive culling of top experts in this realm, a few individuals from the Upper realm descends in order to look for artifacts, treasures and to establish their own sect or clan's dominance and influence in the lower realm. BUT most important of all is the Supreme Divine Treasury, it is the MOST sought after location in all the realms, and it also moves around, literally, one moment it is in the lower realm, then it moves somewhere else, then it might pop over to the upper realm and move around, no one can ever know where the exact location is, they can "try" to guess where it is, but the location is always hard to detect.

The Supreme Divine Treasury holds the central piece of the True Primordial Record, Shi Hao studied the upper piece, known as Divine Guidance (given to him by the Willow Deity). The middle piece is called Transcendence, and it is highly sought after. No one has ever seen the lower piece, so not much is known about it. The True Primordial Record is similar to the Third Killing Formation, both emerged when the world was created. It is because of this reason for supreme expert descending down to the lower realm, but their strength is restricted when descending, s00mebody much in Against the Sky Supreme, their cultivation is restricted when entering a lower realm, although... like AtSS, the author... forgot or contradicted himself by allowing Shi Hao to be at his almighty powerful level later on in the novel.

I dunno why people had trouble with this episode, if anything the only thing I didnt really understand was why they became giants. It was like attack on titan but they were wearing clothes and had more reason... lol

Funny enough the chapter that relates to this episode is called Battle between Giants.

When I read the novel the first time, I assumed it meant the supreme experts that descended were giants figuratively and not literally, the same interpretation you can get when you read the translated novel. Since it is been a while I read the novel, I cannot recall any giants in the upper realms, so I am going to say it is figurative or the experts just expanded their size because of their strength and power.

The entire chapter and ones before and after, did not say "Oh these figures were XX size, was big, every step shook the earth, smashing the small buildings and rocks, or even they towered the mountains as they stood" The again the author like to leave little details like this out lol

Perhaps for dramatic effect they were made as giants to show their strength, much the way when the Rain King summoned a giant avatar lol

Too bad they're not meat Gundams...

By the way, we have EIGHT more episodes left for this season. so make the most out of it lol And I have no idea when season 3 will be released

Oh, so this is actually Season 2? Gogo didn't make any separation. Btw, I also read somewhere that Tencent has already reserved the slots for the next batch of episodes. Looks like they are trying to strike while the iron is hot.

P.S. It's a pity that Juan Siliang won't come out until next year. Till then, many fans would have 'climbed over the fence'. I'm actually eager to see the director redeeming her mishandling of the plots and script in Season2.

Yeah according to Douban this is season 2, but on Tencent it is considers everything as a whole.

Dase I think you've underestimated how popular you are and that your comments are like the rainbow after the rain. Not that every episode is bad, rainy or gloomy but some of us just need a place to vent or to read any vents from others. I dare say, most of us here are happy to read additional donghua-related info from you.

As someone who has read the novel (most of it at least), I must say this whole divine treasures and artifacts arc is rather confusing and contradicting. I can totally relate why many viewers got lost after watching this episode. Since we have 8 episodes left, I'm not sure how much they can cover. They might end the season with a long-awaited reunion. Although I've mentioned in the previous week's comments that SH will die in the lower realm, it might still take a while.

This final battle arc is one of the highlights of the novel imo and should not be rushed. For those who are curious, SH still hasn't fulfilled his dream or promise to rebuild the Heaven Mending Pavilion (which he will) and there's still the wedding between Yue Chan and him. Oh the fun part is actually the spat between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, right before their wedding. LOL!!

All these will come before his final battle in which he sacrifices himself in order to kill the last Big Bully from the upper realm. Apart from his drawn-out death, this final arc of the lower realm is really one of the best in the novel. Fret not, of course he resurrects and his adventure continues in the upper realm for the remaining 70% of the story. So, let's keep our fingers crossed for a smashing Season 1 finale!🤞

Given the we have 8 episodes left, if we do a ratio, 480 chapters 70 episodes, so it will mean 534 chapters 78 episodes. So the season should end around chapter 534 plus or minus a few chapters lol
Which means Shi Hao's mother meets future daughter in law, and it will cover the group of young experts from the upper realm who descends to gain life experience

I have a feeling that they might switch some events around and really end that on a high note — the reunion.

Looking at the plots, there are three significant events that take place in this final arc: the reunion, the wedding/the wedding night "fight" and SH's death. Since they won't be able to cover the last two in 8 episodes, they might drag out some other stuffs and put the reunion last. Of course, it's just my hunch. All I want is a decent finale.🙏

Well, double pupils are rare but they exist. Because of their rarity, they were regarded as divine. The double pupil lady has no relation to Shi Yi (Shi Hao's cousin). She's from one of those neutral/good guys camp and I still don't understand what's her purpose of stealing Shi Yi's body and resurrecting him. Generally, she just treasures talented people like Shi Yi and tries to fight off the invaders (together with Willow Deity). Her talk with Shi Hao was confusing and biased af. She claims that Shi Hao's win was a fluke because Shi Yi did not get to show his strongest double pupil skills. To hell with it, for me a win is a win.

So in the upper realm all the men are giant, big and bold, got it...

They are pretty much the same as the lower realm, just more powerful and more arrogant, the Void realm actually can act as a medium and or a passage between the two realms
